We tried hiking a trail from there to Saint Mary's Falls, but it ended up being the wrong trail, and I caught a lot of flack from Sharon who was very nervous about seeing a bear because there weren't many people on that trail. We made it out alive, and rode the shuttle all the way across the park to Saint Mary's Visitor center to get some souvenirs before heading back to Apgar Village. We got some dinner and had our first taste of huckleberry ice cream, which was amazing. 10/10, would recommend. Today we had a long drive to Yellowstone, and had a minor issue on the way. A mud flap came loose and got wedged between the two rear left tires, and it sounded like we had a flat tire! Luckily we pulled over and realized that it was just the mud flap rubbing, and we were able to keep driving. We are at a site just outside Yellowstone tonight, and we will wake up tomorrow morning for whitewater rafting on the Yellowstone River!

Goats, Sheep, and Marmots, Oh My!
Sharon is finally here! After some flight trouble on Friday, Sharon made it to Kalispell around 5 PM. Since she couldn't make it in the morning, I went in to Glacier National Park and did a quick hike to Avalanche Lake. However, yesterday we both went into Glacier and had an awesome day! We woke up early and took the shuttle up Going to the Sun Road from Apgar Visitor Center and got off at Logan Pass. I'd say the road was the best road I've been on all summer, with incredible views of mountains, lakes, and glaciers. At Logan Pass we hiked to Hidden Lake. Luckily it wasn't too crowded because we got up early. The hike was awesome! It was a beautiful all the way down to the lake, and we saw some awesome wildlife on the way back up! First we saw a bunch of marmots who let us get super close to them. Later, some mountain goats walked right past us along the trail, and we saw a group of bighorn sheep hanging out on a hill!
After our hike we took the shuttle further along Going to the Sun Road to Jackson Glacier Overlook.

So cool that you saw so much wildlife! Looks like a beautiful area 😃. Glad the RV issue turned out to be a minor one 👍. Have fun on the whitewater trip!
