Oddly enough we could not find a campsite in Portland that wasn't completely booked. We probably called 15 different RV parks and they were all full, until finally we found one 35 minutes outside the city. We had to go through Portland to get there so we decided to stop for the evening and walk around a bit. Kayley managed to find this nice little parking lot right next to the downtown area, so we called an audible and decided to just sleep there for the night!
In Portland, we walked around to some shops and got sushi for dinner (...no, Ryan did not eat sushi). Later that night we went to a few breweries and then walked back to our parking lot domicile for some rest. We definitely saw some weird people in Portland! There was some kind of crazy person convention going on at this event center that we passed. Even after a bunch of Googling we had no idea what the event was for! The next day we went to the Saturday Market and got some food and souvenirs. After we grabbed some lunch I dropped Ryan and Adam off at the airport and said goodbye, it was sad to see them go. Kayley and I continued onward to Cannon Beach in Oregon. We had a short walk on the beach and got to see Haystack Rock before we went to the next campsite for the night.
Special thanks to Ryan and Adam for coming out, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
Cool that you're getting to see some west coast cities, along with the National Parks 👍😃.
